a retreat to nourish our ecological resilience

Saturday, Oct. 21 – 1-5pm

@ Dragonfly Farms

in Duvall, WA

Tickets and more information here.

Join me and Joanne Gartenberg of Dragonfly Farms for an afternoon of radical rest and play to find pathways of ecological belonging in our challenging times.

Through mindfulness + embodiment practices, we will explore how to relate to ourselves and the Land in deeper ways. We will meet local plants, learn about ecological gardening, plant a food forest, and nourish ourselves with locally-grown foods and herbal teas.

You will leave with a wider and wilder sense of community, new tools for eco-emotional resilience, new gardening skills, and a selection of seeds to sow at home.

a seasonal series of wild plant walks for ecological fluency

Join me for a series of seasonal plant walks in the Snoqualmie Valley.

We will learn about wild plants by the elemental conditions they respond to from the earth: WATER, FIRE + WOOD.

On each walk, we will use all our senses to learn basic plant ID, ethnobotany and concepts of ecological design and succession. We will build intimacy with a seasonal selection of Pacific Northwest plants and explore how they interact with wildlife, humans, and fungi (i.e. as food, craft, medicine, shelter, etc). We will also grow our observation skills to help us orient to any landscape.

dates + time: 6 plant walks

sept 19, 26 + oct 17, 24, 30 + nov 7  @ 4-6pm

where: various locations in the Snoqualmie Valley, WA
